when i close my eyes
i see towers crumble
and fire in the sky
images of chaos in my mind
horrors yet to come
that I have prophesied
all these visions that i see
are they the shape of things to come
or what might be?
these horrible portents are a curse
that just gets worse
in the future we all die
but I don't know if it's tomorrow
nor the where nor how nor why
all i see is doom
impending as it looms
and that's no help to you
help me make it go away

there's got to be another way
to not think about tomorrow
and just focus on today
