PlanarianHugger - DnB to Monty Python, true combo. Very creative take on this 30 second loop! 5ths in the bass make for a pretty neat sounding bass line. Lots of chord and rhythmic changes throughout to engage and justify length. About to 2:40, everything starts drowning the drums out. DnB drums are pretty tricky to mix, as the kick tends to peak. From my limited knowledge, people use compressors, but I'm not well-versed in how. Like the panning on the rhythmic line at ~2:20 as well. Enjoyed this one!

RonaldPoe: Welcome back! You definitely nail that tomb feel. Your tune seems to fall prey to repetition. I can hear the bass in the background moving a lot, but I can't quite make out what is being played. Bringing the bass up and altering the melody rhythmically, while staying in your tomb atmosphere, would help make this a more engaging piece.

I wrote this and then thasauce deleted it. so im summarizing

Dewey Newt: really enjoyed the way you added original materal into it in a cohesive and relevant way

RonaldPoe: really digging the atmosphere and sound design, but the mix need a little more variation in energy level.

PlanarianHugger: Not digging how the samples dont add anything rhythmically, so they feel a bit jarring. Otherwise an interesting take!

Dewey - I really like the reggae interpretation and the steel drum arrangement. Very creative. Seems well-mixed to my ears. Good ending. This is something I'd listen to outside of a competition.

PlanarianHugger - Very funny to incorporate the Monty Python stuff, and it actually works! Good energy and good "verse-chorus" arrangement. I appreciate the LFO's on the panning of some of the instruments (assuming that's how you did it). I think there is a little too much gain in the last minute or so of the song, though. Good ending.

Ronald Poe - This is alright but it doesn't stand out to me like the other two entries do. Try changing things up a bit more. The other two entries had multiple distinct sections in their arrangements, which really helps keep the listener interested. Also something sounds a little off in the mix to me, like it's a little too muddy or underwater. Weak ending.

Dewey Newt - As someone who actually plays steel drums I enjoy hearing them used in a song. You took an style and used it thorough out the song wile adding and expanding on the style. Shame its so short, I'd love to hear more like it.

RonaldPoe - It captures the sound you're going for but does nothing with it. I didn't hear any thing noticeably different with it except the end notes.

Dewey Newt - Interesting instrumentation and nice arrangement. The guitars sound very fake, but other than that it's good.
PlanarianHugger - The arrangement's fine, I don't really hear much change tho, over-compressed.
Xeen's Tomb - I don't hear any change except for instrumentation, though I do like the atmosphere.
