DDRKirby for the nice sound design and use of the whole sonic space. Low bass was great.

MisaelK for the overall mood, I liked that whole sad forest and the synth flute.

obScene for the gentle mood and the really thick sounds and whimsy

Also memorable was:

TVG esp. for the nice chord choices

bjkmenu for the sudden shift to the Bowser castle

TheVideoGamer - This track is basically a simple one. I know it doesn't sound that way, but if you look at my project file, the main bulk is provided on a piano and a synth chord progression, a synth hook on a bell and saw synth, as well as the variety of melody lines on two synths, which are mostly following the progression. It's sort of a complex F Major, C Major, G Major, D Minor progression, but in some parts we modulate to Bb Flat, in others we move to D Major. In the middle we also have a Db chord thrown in, so it really goes all out for the childlike nature of the piece. The breakbeat is also interesting, as i didn't just add it in, i've added some mild distortion, some maximus styled compression, and IZotope vinyl to give it that oldschool break vibe. Overall i kind of like this, it doesn't overstay its welcome, or shove things in your face. It rides along in a sort of mellow childlike way. Oh well, i'm glad you liked it!

DarkShadow - Interesting waveform there, were starting quiet and clicky, which is not common for DarkShadow as you really go all bombastic for the most part. That is one dynamic kick drum, it sort of acts as a bassline, a melody and a kickdrum. This one is a little more grounded in it's key signature which i like, the whole thing isn't dissonant as some of your other entries which is great. The ending is really interesting, there is a whole host of sick FM stuff going on. I'm not gonna lie, i'm almost tempted to give you this one, but what sets it back a little, is that it goes on for a little too long. By the end, i was hoping for a section change, but it just keeps on going until bam, it abruptly stops. Still though, this one was fire, so props to that, it has potential. Good job!

JettSwole - Welcome back, so glad you can make it. Loving that chord progression it just screams video game like. The drums are processed in a very interesting way, it's got that lo-fi warmth to it. I love the chiptune melodies towards the middle, and the final fantasy type choirs at the end, it really is a dynamic piece with some killer melodies. I do think there should be a more smoother ending, you left me wanting more lol. But despite that honestly, yeah it has potential, but man the melodies are amazing in this, and this alone is precisely why i will give you this one, it's so catchy. Could definately vote for this one, if it wasn't just limited to 3, awesome work!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Loving the delay on the mandolin, i really feel like this is more theme accurate, compared to mine where it was mostly just melodic and peaceful. The drums are really interesting, because i was expecting a 2 and 4 scenario, but instead we got a sort of 3 and 4 type snare pattern instead. The whole thing is really catchy, i love the east asian elements in this piece, it really sounds like were in some part of China, but with modern production. There is a lot of changes, and melodies, and it really keeps me on my toes. I don't know what else to say, it's just extremely catchy stuff, awesome mix, and i feel both chill and energised at the same time. I could definately vote for this, if it wasn't limited to just 3, awesome work!

A2Z - Adventerous strings, i feel like going on a cinematic journey. Wasn't expecting a 3/4 waltz, but man you do it so well, i really feel genuinely like were in a movie, maybe a pixar one. The drums definately give me the impression most of this is a soundfont of some kind, but i don't mind, as soundfonts do the job very well a lot of the time. I really love the tempo changes in this, you went as far as you could to make this the most natural sounding piece, and i respect you for that. It is short, i felt like i could do with another minute or two, but that's mostly a testiment to how good the composition is more so than anything, the melodies were wonderful. So wonderful i placed this on the 2nd spot, it was amazing. Incredible work!

BJKMenu - Ooh interesting chord progression, i think this is final boss of Mario right, but on guitar? And i don't mean it's a cover, but there is inspiration somewhere here. The synth just feels 90's i don't know why. Of course being BJK you have to do a random 180 into a different style, subverting my expectations. It also wouldn't be BJK if you didn't just stop the piece out of nowhere, making go wtf? All jokes aside, it is a catchy piece, i can definately feel the mario influences here, although i do like my transitions to be a bit more smoother, and perhaps an ending would also work too lol. Still though, it was a lot of fun, good job!

obScene - Oh noes, another gorgeously cute piece from obScene. I don't know if it's the melodies that are my weakness, or if it's just how you've played them, it always just sounds so good and high quality, like i'm in a movie. The melodies this week though are extremely cute. This might be the happiest obScene piece i've heard in the last 3 months, and it's amazing. The chord choices in the middle is just one that makes me go wow. Dude this is.....excellent. I try to not be biased and to give honest raitings, but this one is really making it hard to be criticial. The mix is great, and the melodies are wonderful. Yeah this was just outstanding, no question this is going on the top spot. Outstanding work!

Daisu64 - Man for 14 minutes you pumped out a good amount of music. Yeah 48 seconds still isn't a long time, but remember were talking 14 minutes of producing. I like the arps here, it's almost the same key as the last entry. You even managed to make a pretty great melody out of this. Of course if you had longer you would stretch this to make it less thin, as the drums are doing the heavy lifting, but either way i do appreciate you submitting anyways, it takes guts to pump out a 14 minute entry. Good job!

Misael.K - You went for the sombre route, the melodies are quite dark and sad. That melody has some tasty vibrato on it, and the chords are FM but not in your face FM. The pad chord is interesting, as it sounds very granular and has a lot of interesting textures. The whole thing feels sad, but yet kind of lively too. That beat is very mangled, it's not just distortion, but almost like it's fed through a granular tube or something lol. It's very interesting, i love it, so don't think i hate it. The melody and chord changes are just great, there is a lot of different note choices here that makes me go woo, it's just a lovely composition. Nothing else to say, in fact it was good enough for the third spot, amazing work!

Arcana - Emotional guitar in this, and it sounds honestly pretty realistic. I don't know if it's a real guitar or a VST, but it's convincing enough for me. The vocal work seems to be mildly strained, last week it was pretty on point melody wise, this week it seems to be a little pitchy. Don't take this as a negative though, you are known for some great tracks, the chords in this one is really nice. The jazzy chords in the middle is a great touch, i really like the honest and raw playing in this, that i have to give props for. I also have to give props for the singing, because i can't even hit a single note, so you do more than me. It has a lot of potential, the guitar is really nice, and i do love the soft pads in the back. I really like it, good job!
