TheVideoGamer - This track is essentially a sort of hip-hop styled piece with industrial overtones. The bulk of the beat is very much played kind of in a hip-hop fashion, but distorted a little to keep it on the crunchy side, and done using a more lo-fi oldschool set of sounds to account for the rough edge. The melodic ideas are mostly done with Minor th's and 9th's to keep it both atmospheric and a bit 80's inspired, but done with a few modulations to keep it more of a weird and unusual progression. The melodic ideas vary quite a bit here, with the main section following a Gb Minor key signature, before we modulate to A Minor, slowly working our way back to Gb. The ending is interesting as the synth work is a lot harsher, utilising FM synths for a cutting feel, as well as a few mild acid tinged arpeggios. All in all, it's quite the varied piece, which isn't always the case with my entries, and it is quite intense on the ears, i do kind of like it. It brings a lot to the table, in it's own kind of way. Oh well, glad you liked it anyways!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Hope you feel better mate, wasn't expecting a near 4 minute entry, but one either assumes, you made this ahead of time, or you're just really fast a producing. Love the filtered intro, i definately feel hyped already. The chords definately bring a little of the futuristic flair, i feel like i'm in space, even though the theme is of lightning. I like the sort of impact sound when it drops, usually i hear the classic white noise filter, but instead we heard a chiptune styled riser. The whole is very much 70 percent chiptune to 30 percent EDM sounds, it blends that racing game aesthetic with the proper hyped DnB style. I love how this one is more of a minimal style, than a standard DDR entry. Yes it's got a lot to the table, but it's not very much a symphony as much as it's more of a calmer sort of DnB. The flute melody really makes this, it's just a lovely piece, great synths, and some killer drum work. Love this one a lot, even if it was made ahead of time. In fact it was so good i chose it for the 2nd spot i absolutely loved it. Amazing work!

DarkShadow - Return to classic DarkShadow form, topped with one very sluggish beat. The snare is very much a late one, even if on the grid. I do like the synths here, although it's very dissonant this week. Or at least what i consider dissonant. Whilst not my favourite from you (I feel it's more of a randomised chaos, rather than a structured chaos that i tend to prefer), i did enjoy this a lot, it was a ton of fun. As i say taste is personal. Still though, good job!

Nukage - Nukage is back, this time with a killer guitar progression damn that is some sick guitar. The intro feels very Indie Rock in a way, kind of Nickelback, it's fire. I sense we might be going into a metal section, but based on how the intro is made, i feel that might not be the case. The track here is very compressed, which in a normal circumstance is fine, but were talking completely squished. It sounds like a flat pancake, than a thick full blast metal banger. Which is unfortunate as the lyrics and guitar playing is honestly excellent, but i feel we need to loosen it up a bit, give it more room to breathe. Still though, as i've said, i still love the guitar and singing, it's awesome. Good job!

Dex - Nice thunder effects to start us off, the rock parts suprising follow up very well, i think in some parts of the melody you simulate thunder but with a guitar of some kind. The melody is very catchy in this, and when combined with the beat, it makes for a sick punk rock experience. I'm noticing an alarming lack of bass in this one, which makes me think it was forgotten, or maybe you did record it, and it was mixed very quiet. I did appreciate the thunder transition into a more Indian inspired rendition of the melody, the sitar sounds very pleasent to the ears. I do think for each part of the melody, we could have a more smoother transition, at the moment it's just abrupt thunder noises and then a different section. Still though, i had a lot of fun in this, that melody is strangely addicting. Good job to the both of you!

mcmiagblackmanisgod - Welcome back mate, it's been a long time. I love the Ronald Regean reference in the beginning, but i don't know if that's someone else saying that or not. I love the sample in this, it's awesome, and that beat is very deep. Whole thing seems to be fed through a flanger, it's quite the phased tune. The vocal samples aren't my cup of tea personally, i feel it clashes with the sample. Still though the weight of the sample makes it for me. Wasn't expecting a beat change, but i dig it, because it's not a big 180, it still keeps the vibe, even with such a beat change. There's like 5 different drum loops here, all going back and forth between each other. All in all, i dug the sample in the first part, shame you dropped it for the rest of the piece, but regardless i had a lot of fun on this, it was groovy. Good job!

Misael.K - Nice piano plonks here, it reminds me of raindrops. The whole of the piano seems to be fed through a filter of some kind, it's very deep. The melody is also really nice, but it also matches the same register as the piano, so it can be very blurred, almost like one texture. I do dig the fading string and flute though, that is gorgeous, i love that touch. The whole thing is quite emotional i have to say. I love when the beat kicks in, because the melody is more pronounced, so it doesn't become a background texture, it's lovely. Very emotional, and has a sick groove. Also wasn't expecting that shift to a major key damn, this is such a dynamic composition, i love it. Man this is excellent from a melodic point of view. Deep sure, but everything was just amazing. So excellent i placed it on the top spot, it was absolutely beautiful. Incredible work!

Coloradoweeks - Ooh i love interpolations. Don't remember this one, but i do like it either way, that is one science fiction chord progression, and a sick trap beat going on, although not mixed in a intense way like trap normally is. The vocal work is amazing as always, of course you know your singing. The harmonisation is lovely too, it just feels like a very well crafted song. If i had to be more nitpicky, stronger drums would really take this up a notch, but aside from that, there's not much else to say. The chords are fire, the vocal work is excellent, and the track is catchy. It was more than enough to place it on the third spot it was absolutely lovely. Amazing work!

Arcana - Not even an intro, we just go straight into the vocals lol. I love the chord and beat work here, there's some swing here, even in a more house type of beat. Vocal work is very strong here, it's definately more clearer here melody wise, it's not pitchy as much. When the trance chords come in, they dominate the mix for essentially the rest of the length of the track, which makes the vocals are little less prominent. It becomes ok towards the end, but i would reduce the volume slightly to keep it more balance, but this is just me. The vibe is sick though, you nailed the vibe, all i sense here is potentially for a more smoother mix, especially towards the trance chords. I relistened to it, and honestly like with all things there's potential, but i think it's enough this week to be on the awesome section, there was more to like than dislike. Well done!
