In The Deep...
Jakesnke17
Second place goes to DDRKirbyISQ: Another really great atmospheric entry, I love all the little details you put into this and all the changes that keep it interesting up until the very last note, erm, cymbal hit :P
Third place goes to Jakesnke17: I love those chords, and even though the production is not perfect (way too dry for example) it really sounds very nice and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
For the Lulz: CJthemusicdude: I never ever laughed so much at a compo, this is really freaking great, and could only be made better by using more SFX/musical elements, maybe you should team up with mv to perfect this into an audio book :P Oh yeah, and I so expected to hear the "cumshot" melody when the bomb goes off :) Funniest compo entry evar!!

sci - Very cool as well. Pitch slides!
Usabell - Excellent atmosphere! I have to give it third because there wasn't enough variation, but as a song it's fine because it's just more of a good thing xD

xerol: nice epic orchestral sound, befitting of the theme.
brandon: i could tell from the first moment that this was going to be a very strange entry, and i was right. ^_^ cool guitar soloing, nice tone.
jakesnake: great buildup. very nice layering of sounds, they mesh well together. love the beat. there's just this one chord that has a dissonant note in it (the a-natural I think? in the 3rd chord). >.< good interpretation of the theme.
obtuse: an instant <3 from the first moments. 90's eurodance wooo! i think the kick could use more... kick. otherwise, good standard beat for the genre. very cool synth leads and pads. good development over the length of the song.
munchi: very melodic, very good beats... hey wait a minute, what? srsly, this was amusing and well produced. the screaming made me wish i had my volume down lower though x_x haha
diotrans: oh hello there diotrans!
arcana: oh hello there arcana! so i already told you the comments and stuff.
jh: yay typical happy jh song. nice sounds, very pleasant, but i'm not sure how it fits with the theme. i like the effects you put on the drums.
kaxon: baaaassss! cool piano noodling, though i think the piano could have been mixed lower to make the two instruments more balanced.
acuity: off the bat, i like the chords. i think the drums could have been mixed a bit louder though. nice build-up and atmosphere.
sci: yay chippy-ness! def. matches your description, and i like the machine-like sounds. i feel that this could really be a robots journey to the center of the earth.
bren: pretty solid entry. nice melodies, good chords, solid beat. sorry, i dont have much to say beyond that, but i did enjoy this one. ^_^
mv: very interesting soundscape. the sound effects sounded like hammering or chiseling, and layers peeling away, fitting the theme nicely. i would describe the mood as mysterious and introspective. very beautiful, almost haunting piece.
usa: awesome production, excellent sound choices that complement each other and set the mood. the feeling this reminds me of is one of discovery and joy, like the happiness at finding something mystical in the center of the earth.
emunator: this was very cool, good job esp. considering you played it off the top of your head (im assuming, since you said it was done in 3 min.)
ddrkirby: cool ambient track. im impressed that you managed to take it in so many different directions over the span of more than 4 minutes, all within an hour.
cj: wow. this was... different. .) LOL @ the voices of ddrkirby and usabell. overall, very entertaining.
dusthill: this is a fun little piece. good energy, i like the arps. but some of the chord changes and melodies felt a bit random.
rampkorv: whoa, this was trippy, almost even creepy, with the processed vocal sounds. i liked some of the unexpected chord changes, and the filtery lead.
