NickC - The speed change at half point actually worked well for MnP, as it didn't take away from original mood at all, given that it's already high energy. AND MAN THIS IS WICKED SICK RETRO NOSTALGIA FEELZ. This is an example where going low-fi can work really well. Especially them pitch bends wow!!

Trism - the master dB coulda used at least a 2.0 boost or so, but man this is really good, keeps to the original quite well with some original ideas. Nice guitar and bass work too!

Kat - this is quite reinterpretive as the original mood has been changed quite a bit, so MnP-wise it's quite reinterpretive. But that being said, the production is not too shabby. The original ideas are fucking amazing though. I'd say work on this more and get this thang submitted!!

hipnnotyk - tied for 3rd place for me, with Kat. As this is pretty dang kick ass. Nice swoosh effects and the EQ/production is quite good.

Chalis - This mix could have been REALLY REALLY good. The main crux of the issue is the kick drum and the bypass filter that is muffling ALL of the other instruments way in the background. I mean, this technically isn't bad, I could see style of production working in a dream sequence in a movie or game. But I think this remix has a LOT of potential, you just gotta boost the other instruments and put down the kick drum and find a way to bring everything forward, whilst maintaining that cool phaser effect on the chorded rhythmic stuff.

1 - Blue Rush - This is too much fun not to vote for. Seriously, love the chiptune sound and it is a great rendition of the theme overall.

2 - Sapphire Smash - This one gets my vote because well it is on the verge of being too different but it falls into the category of being not different enough to be a lot fun. Plus that violin lead? Classic.

3 - Big Blue B*stard - Basically, the bass is epic. Plus I really liked the extended reverbs in the B section. It is also a fun interpretation of the theme.

4 - Slightly Bigger Blue - This one started out great with the Indy car SFX, but really it came down to sound choice for me. Something a bit more modern? Easily top three.

6 - Wide Chromatic Spectrum - It just needs more dynamics to it. The track is just sounds completely flat and doesn't breathe enough. Other than that it is really freakin' great.

(Bonus)Alladin's Reverby Acid Trip Noob Rip - It isn't all that bad really. Kind of reminds me a bit of something like a circus. Fun & light hearted sound with a bit of a dark side.

(Bonus) Gloom Metal - If Killer Klowns from Outerspace were made today this would clearly be on the OST. Just creepy enough to be silly.

I'm giving my first place vote to Kat because he/she took the track somewhere I didn't think it could go while still maintaining the energy level. Just needs a little more mixing work, possibly some cleaner samples and it would be very presentable.

Second to NickC. Good arrangement and this may just be personal opinion but sometimes I feel like it's overly aggressive and a little thin because those lead lines are too up in your face. Good use of throwing the melodic line around and adding some cool effects but again, it feels like I chugged a 4-pack of Red Bull and turned on F-Zero.

Third Place to Trism. Not bad, but the one thing that can't be ignored is the beginning of the melody is not present. Instead, the arpeggios are front and center when those should be utilized as an underlying figure to the melody. Other than that, the energy level is pretty good and it could just use a more polished mix.

Great job everyone!

NickC- I just love the energy in this one, and the synths. Around 1:50 to 2:03, I like the synth there too.

Kat- Would have placed this in first, but it seems less MnP. Very good job, nice strings.

Trism- Nice guitars there, very MnP-fitting song.

Hipnotyk- The whooshing is a nice addition, it does really make it feel like a race.

Hoboka- You made a strange sounding track sound even stranger, good job :p

Chernabogue- Was going to vote this in first, but then realized it was a bonus. Great track, great sounds!

Chalis- Stop trying to remix, you newbie :D

Blue Rush: I wasn't a fan of how (for lack of a better term) "thin" it sounded at first, but once the lead synth kicked in I was sold. Loved the somewhat reinterpreted soloing.

Big Blue B*stard: Loved the guitar work overall, though I think some of Shreddage's slide/portamento could've done it well. Still a nice track though, kept the original feeling pretty well.

Slightly Bigger Blue: The only thing that bumped this down to third for me was the drums. Seemed a bit overwhelmed by the rest of the track and didn't feel punchy enough to fit in with the rest. Could just be me though.

Wide Chromatic Spectrum: Can't say I'm a huge fan of it. I heard some nice background elements, but it was all sort of drowned out by the percussion and synth.

Aladdin's Reverby Acid Trip Noob: Not actually that terrible. It was sort of bad in a more good/comical way.

Gloom Metal: Pretty awesome for a one hour track. Probably would've been my first pick if it wasn't a bonus.
